“Generally, the new program is limited to businesses in New York State that have 100 or fewer employees, $2.5 million or less in 2021 gross receipts and at least $2,000 in eligible COVID-related purchases between Jan 1, 2021and Dec. 31, 2022, according to Hochul.”

Special SBA PPP Program for Small Businesses with 20 Or Fewer Employees- Only for Two Weeks
The Paycheck Protection Program (PPP) provides loans to help businesses keep their workforce employed during the Coronavirus (COVID-19) crisis; this is the second draw. Borrowers may be eligible for PPP loan forgiveness.

In order to reach the smallest businesses, SBA will offer PPP loans to businesses with 20 or less employees, only from Wednesday, February 24 through Wednesday, March 10, 2021. SBA also announced four additional changes to open the PPP to more underserved small businesses during this period, such as allow sole proprietors, independent contractors, and self-employed individuals to receive more financial support by revising the PPP’s funding formula. This can help many Long Beach businesses. Please go to the SBA PPP webpage for more information, including a list of lenders: https://www.sba.gov/funding-programs/loans/coronavirus-relief-options/paycheck-protection-program.
